VOLUX hereby warrants to the original purchaser/owner (“Customer”), VOLUX products to be free of manufacturing defects in material and workmanship, for the warranty periods as defined below from the original purchase invoice date. This warranty applies exclusively to new VOLUX branded and/or distributed products listed below, purchased from VOLUX or an authorized VOLUX dealer within the United States of America, including possessions and territories. This warranty is not transferable and may or may not apply to products sold and/or forwarded outside the United States. Please contact VOLUX for applicable regional product warranty information. The purchase of VOLUX products constitutes the Customer’s acceptance of all warranty terms and conditions as listed in this limited warranty statement.

During this period, VOLUX will, at its sole and absolute discretion, repair or replace the unit or replace it with a new or rebuilt one of equal model and product classification subject to lifecycle product improvements. VOLUX will bear material and labor for all repairs completed by its authorized service personnel subject to exclusions. This warranty is not a maintenance contract.

This warranty does NOT cover:

  • Normal wear and tear components include but not limited to, lamps, color media, brushes, contact rings, zippers, lamp sockets, belts, and other parts prone to wear and tear.

  • Damage due to abuse, misuse, or accident.

  • Improper service, and installation workmanship by user or 3rd party personnel.

  • Products used or installed in conditions or environments exceeding the product’s specified application type.

  • Customer-supplied power, data, or rigging.

  • Units on which the product or its sticker has been removed or altered.

  • Units that have been serviced or tampered by user or other unauthorized personnel.

  • Damage from exposure to extreme environmental/atmospheric conditions including but not limited to severe weather, natural disaster, salinity or pressure, or other conditions which exceed the product’s ingress protection rating.

  • Failure to perform periodic maintenance or service procedures of the product as specified by VOLUX.

  • Natural degradation and color shift of the LED source over the course of normal product use.

  • Minor deviations in the specified values of intensity and color that do not affect the basic functionality of the product.

  • Products used outside of professional entertainment applications or continuous duty applications.

All implied warranties, including warranties on merchantability and fitness, are limited in time to the length of this warranty. VOLUX’s liability is strictly limited to the repair and/or replacement of its product or component. VOLUX shall in no way be held liable for incidental or consequential damages resulting from the use of their product or its software, including, without limitation, damages from loss of business profits, downtime costs, business interruption, loss of business information or other pecuniary loss. Costs of removal, shipping to VOLUX or an authorized representative, and reinstallation are solely the responsibility of the purchaser. If VOLUX determines that the product is covered by this limited warranty, VOLUX will pay for the cost of shipping the repaired or replacement product or part to the purchaser at a location within the 48 contiguous United States through a method and timeline of VOLUX’s choosing. Costs of shipping repaired or replacement products or parts to any locations outside of the 48 contiguous United States are the sole responsibility of the purchaser.

Where maintenance guidelines are specified by VOLUX for products covered under this warranty, maintenance records must be maintained and supplied to VOLUX and accompany the returned product when warranty service is sought. Outdoor and IPX4 or higher-rated products must contain records and proof of IP testing results using a VOLUX-certified Ingress Protection Testing Kit. Any servicing of Outdoor and/or IPX4 or higher-rated products without testing ingress protection with appropriate testing equipment may result in denial of warranty service with material/labor costs billable to the customer or this warranty being voided. It is the Customer’s responsibility to provide product proof of purchase and serial number by acceptable evidence such as an invoice copy or an approved VOLUX Extended Warranty Certificate (“EWC”) and any relevant maintenance records at the time warranty service is sought. Failure to provide acceptable evidence of product proof of purchase or EWC and any relevant maintenance records may be cause for denial of warranty service.

No agent, employee, or representative of VOLUX may bind VOLUX to any terms or conditions beyond the scope of this limited warranty. Any provisions contained in the purchaser’s purchase order or any other purchase document that conflict with the terms and conditions of this limited warranty or which are not expressly set forth in this limited warranty shall be of no force or effect.

 

RMA Procedure

To obtain an RMA, please contact technical@voluxlighting.com or Submit a Ticket with a written description of the problem you are experiencing to obtain an RMA number. Upon receiving an RMA number, the product/component must be packaged in original packaging or other suitable packaging that provides ample protection from ground/air shipping and provide your representative with packaging dimensions to receive an RMA shipping label. All RMA shipments must include proof of purchase, written maintenance records, and a brief written description of the problem being experienced for the unit being returned for service. The product/component must be returned in original, unaltered condition without accessories unless otherwise instructed to do so. Products returned for warranty service, which are received damaged due to inadequate and/or improper packaging and/or due to damage caused by shipping carrier may incur additional repair charges before warranty service begins and/or may void this warranty. Any products returned without a valid RMA will be refused and returned at the customer’s expense. Failure to follow these RMA procedures may result in denial of warranty service or additional material/labor costs billable to the customer.

Non-Warranty Service

If it is determined that the product does not meet the terms of our warranty, you will be billed for labor and materials, as well as applicable shipping and insurance. Appropriate shipping charges will be applied. Payment in advance of repair is required by credit card. VOLUX will contact you and inform you of the cost of the repair before any work is completed.
